The next Women’s ICC T20 World Cup is slated to happen in 2026. England will host the tournament after 7 years. The last time it hosted the ICC Women’s World Cup was in 2017. The English team lifted the trophy after defeating India by 9 runs. Needless to say, hosts are looking to replicate the play in 2026.

For now, ICC has shared details about the Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier. The information comes after the launch ceremony of the grand tournament in England.
Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier Details
The Women’s ICC T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier will commence on May 09, 2025. It will be hosted by Thailand at two different venues, namely the Asian Institute of Technology Ground and the Terdthai Cricket Ground. The top two teams from the Asia Qualifier will make it to the Global Qualifier.
The qualifying tournament will conclude on May 20, 2025. Group stages are scheduled to end on May 16, 2025.
Schedule, Groups, and Format
The format of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier has two stages - Group Stage and Super 3. All 9 teams will play against their competitor in their respective groups thrice. The top teams from each group will qualify for Super 3, from where only the top 2 teams will advance to the Global Qualifier.
Group A has Kuwait, Bhutan, and Thailand. Group B has Qatar, Malaysia, and the UAE. Group C has Hong Kong China, Bahrain, and Nepal.
