:::A warning was issued by the Twitter handle of PIB Fact Check. The warning addressed a viral WhatsApp message that claimed to offer a work-from-home Government job with a salary of up to ₹10,000/- per day. The WhatsApp message was declared and people were asked not to engage with this or any other similar message. PIB Fact Check informed people that authentic information about a job opportunity is always published on the official website of the Government or social media handles.
The viral WhatsApp message said that the company was working with another organization collaboratively.
:::A goal scored by Christiano Ronaldo was disallowed by a Video Assistant Referee (VAR). VAR disallowed the goal scored saying that it was played from the offside.
Christiano Ronaldo was also given a Yellow card for celebrating a goal without his shirt.

:::According to data released by Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Rakesh Jhunjhunwala bought 2,88,50,000 equity shares in Canara Bank. He bought those shares at a face value of ₹10/- each through IPO and now owns a 1.59% stake in the bank. Other investors who hold a stake in Canara Bank are LIC India, BNP Paribas Arbitrage, Morgan Stanley Asia, and Societe General, to name a few.
Rakesh Jhunjhunwala also owns a stake at Karur Vysya Bank and Federal Bank.
:::Spencer Elden sued Nirvana for child pornography. Spencer Elden is a model who had appeared naked as a child on the cover of Nirvana's 1991 album titled, "Nevermind". He was portrayed as a child was who swimming in a pool. He has also alleged that Nirvana used his image for their profit. He added that his identity and name were distributed and tied to the album across the globe.
He has filed a case under sexual exploitation and is now seeking damages of a minimum of $150,000 each from 17 defendants.

:::Manoj Bajpayee, an Indian actor, filed a criminal defamation case against Kamaal Rashid Khan (KRK). Manoj Bajpayee alleged that KRK had posted a tweet of derogatory in nature calling him a "charsi, ganjedi", in other words, "stoner".
Manoj Bajpayee has filed the case at n Indore Court under IPC Section 500, which deals with punishment for defamation.
:::Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister of India, announced that the family pension of employees working in a Public Sector Bank had been raised. A slab of 30%, up to ₹30,000/- or ₹35,000/-, would apply uniformly on the last drawn salary of an employee.
The previous slabs were 15%, 20%, and 30% with a cap of ₹9,284/-.

:::The Indonesian Navy seized a Bahamas-flagged oil tanker on the suspicion that the oil tanker had stolen nearly 3,00,000 barrels. The Indonesian Navy has detained the captain of the ship along with his 18 crew members. According to the reports, the captain of the ship would face 1 year of jail time and a fine of the amount of 200 million rupiahs, or $13,900, if he is found guilty.
The oil tanker was seized by the Indonesian Navy on the water of Indonesia's Riau Islands. The oil tanker is wanted by the authorities of Cambodia.
:::Manish Lachwani, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HeadSpin, was arrested in the United States of America (USA). He has been alleged to defrauding the investors of $80 million by overstating the revenue of the company. Manish Lachwani has been charged with securities fraud and wire fraud. He faces a jail time of up to 20 years for each fraudulent case if he is found guilty.
He resigned from the company in May 2022. The management of HeadSpin then revised the valuation of the startup to $300 million.

:::e-Palette was suspended by Toyota for its usage in Tokyo Paralympic Games Village. It is a self-driving pod that was being used to transport the athletes. e-Palette was suspended after it collided and injured an athlete who was visually impaired. The self-driving transportation pod was reportedly moving at a speed of 1 or 2 kilometers per hour.
Akio Toyoda, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Toyota, published a YouTube video apologizing for the accident. He added that the company would cooperate with a probe that would be conducted by the Police.
:::The Government of India selected 10 investment banks to manage the Initial Public Offering (IPO) process of the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). These 10 investment banks are as follows:

The Government of India plans to sell its stake and expects to raise around ₹80,000 crores to ₹90,000 crores. The stake to be sold is yet to be decided by the Government. The decision would be taken by a ministerial panel called, Alternative Mechanism on Strategic Disinvestment.
