:::Wu Huan revealed that she, along with two Uyghurs, was held at a secret Chinese jail in Dubai for eight days. Wu Huan is a 26-years young woman from China who was detained by the Chinese officials after being abducted from Dubai. Wu Huan was reportedly running away from the Chinese authorities to avoid extradition back to China. She alleged that she was forced to sign a few legal documents that incriminated her fiance for harassing her.
Amid all the allegations and reports, the news is yet to be confirmed.
:::Canada's parliament was dissolved by its Governor-General, Mary Simon. The parliament was dissolved at the request of Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada. Justin Trudeau-led Liberal Party now seeks to attain the majority by winning the snap polls with a higher margin. The Liberal Party currently has to rely on the support of its opposition to pass any important legislation.
The snap polls are scheduled to be conducted on September 20, 2021.

:::Bloomberg released its latest list of World's 100 Richest People. Radhakishan Damani, the owner of DMart, made his first appearance on the list. He ranked at the 98th position in Bloomberg's latest list of the World's 100 Richest People. He has an estimated worth of ₹1.42 lakh crore. He was previously ranked at 117th position.
Radhakishan Damani used to work in the stock market before launching DMart in 2002.
:::WhatsApp blocked and took down a helpline number that was set up by the Taliban. Taliban was reportedly encouraging the people of Afghan to report the cases of looting and violence. The helpline came under the light after the Taliban advertised the details after capturing Kabul. A spokesperson of WhatsApp said that the helpline was shut down to ensure that the Taliban complied with the laws sanctioned by the United States of America.
Facebook also banned the content that was published by the Taliban on all its other platforms. The content is being said to have been banned as per the Dangerous Organizations Policy of the social media giant. Other content that has been banned is related to the support and praises for the Taliban.

:::Jawa, a part of the Police Dog Squad, helped the Gujarat Police to catch 6 men who had allegedly gang-raped and killed a woman in Dehtan Village, Karjan. The woman was raped and murdered while she was cutting grass in the field. Jawa, an 18-year young female Doberman tracked down the 6 accused by sniffing a water bottle and the victim's dupatta. Both pieces of evidence were found at the crime scene.
This is for the third time in the last 45 days that Jawa has tracked the accused by sniffing the evidence at the crime scene.
:::The flag of the United Islamic Front, or the Northern Alliance, was hoisted for the first time in Afghanistan since 2011. The flag was hoisted in Panjshir Valley by the resistance led by Ahmad Massoud.
The Afghan soldiers, who were hiding from the Taliban Troops, also began to appear in Panjshir.

:::The Twitter accounts of Amrullah Saleh and his party were suspended by the platform for allegedly violating one of its guidelines. Amrullah Saleh has recently declared himself as a Caretaker President of Democratic Afghanistan. He was the Vice President of Afghanistan till the time Ashraf Ghani left the country.
Ashraf Ghani is reportedly in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
:::The United States of America (USA) suspended the sale of pending or undelivered arms to Afghanistan. All the orders from Afghanistan have been put under review.
The update was shared by the State's Department's Political/Military Affairs Bureau.

:::Facebook launched a new campaign called Small Business Loan Initiative for Small and Medium Size Businesses (SMBs). The campaign has been launched in association with Indifi, an online lending platform. Under the campaign, an SMB can avail of a collateral-free loan in the range of ₹5 lakh and ₹50 lakh at an interest rate of up to 20% per year. An SMB would be considered to be eligible for the campaign only if it has been advertising on Facebook or its other platforms for the last 180 days.
Ajit Mohan, the Managing Director of Facebook India, said that the company expects that the companies would use their platforms more to advertise after securing the collateral-free loan from the campaign. He also clarified that the company would not earn any commission from Small Business Loan Initiative.
:::A man in the United States of America (USA) was robbed for around $500,000 in cash. The robbers had reportedly attached an Apple Watch to the bumper of his car.
The group of robbers later followed the man to the parking lot of a hotel by tracking the watch. The robbers then somehow gained access to his hotel room and took all the available cash.
