The content subscription company stated that it decided to take this step under the pressure from its banking and payment provider partners. However, an investigation by BBC concluded that the website has always gone easy with the creators of sexually explicit content. The investigation also revealed that the creators with a large number of followers were being reviewed by a special team who would give the creators more than 3 strikes as a warning. Every other creator would get maximum of 3 strikes as a warning.

OnlyFans responded to BBC's investigation by saying that the website was always committed to the highest levels of safety and content moderation. It added that the nude images would be allowed only if the creator complies with the Acceptable Use Policy of the website.

OnlyFans will start removing and banning all the sexually explicit content on the website from October 01, 2021.

That is all for this week.
